Active Listening requires no interrupting while the other person is talking. People say express yourself only wanting to give a quick answer they are interrupting you. So if you don't have patience just simply be honest and excuse yourself from the conversation.
We have hurt people who need two listening ears instead of one mouth that quickly responds.
